KKCCI IT Sub-Committee Meeting – 6th January 2025

The IT Sub-Committee of KKCCI held a meeting in Kalaburagi with Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, CEO of Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), as the Guest of Honour. Discussions focused on the Beyond Bengaluru initiative and Kalaburagi’s potential as a key IT hub.

Prominent attendees included KKCCI President Mr. Shashikant Patil, Secretary Mr. Manjunath Jewargi, Chairman Mr. Shivraj Inginshetty, Past President Mr. Umakant Nigudgi, Immediate Past President Mr. Prashant Mankar, Mr. Lingraj Appa, Mr. Doddappa Nisty, CA Mallikarjun Mahantgol, IT entrepreneurs, and Managing Committee members.

Key highlights included KKCCI’s proposal to establish a 5,000 sq. ft. incubation centre, seeking support from KDEM. Additionally, Mr. Sanjeev Gupta officially announced the launch of the KDEM Kalaburagi Cluster and the TIE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) Chapter. The meeting also addressed challenges such as issues with Keonics IT Park and emphasized the need for a dedicated regional industry policy to ensure equitable growth in the region.

The session reinforced Kalaburagi’s strategic role in Karnataka’s IT ecosystem and KKCCI’s dedication to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in Kalyana Karnataka.
